I need somebody that is experienced with working on is300 and supercharger set ups. I bought a is300 for my girl and i have a supercharger kit i want to install but have a few questions and need some help. Ive had several supercharged and turbo cars before but never a boosted is300. try checking out my.is forums or stop by Induction Performance in tampa, they know everything about the 2jz engine. post a pic of the car, what color and other mods, how much WHP are you aiming for. with a supercharger you can get about 300rwhp before you have to get bigger fuel injectors and worry about you compression.

 

where did you get a supercharger for a 2jz? and why would anyone supercharge a 2jz?

 

lots of people supercharge the 2jz. Supercharger is just alot easier to maintain. and the is300 manual tranny is only good for the 300's in whp. so once u go turbo and start pushing 400whp you gotta do tranny swap . the automatic transmission can hold 450 with some modding.

 

the only supercharged 2j ive ever seen had a huge blower on it. it was for a drag car and made like 1500hp. i guess whatever floats your boat.

 

I must honestly say I have NEVER seen a supercharged 2JZ. Never. Surely isn't common.

I know it has been done, just saying that I have never physically seen one. And with the all the options out there for the 2JZ, I'm not so sure why anyone would want to (unless they just want to do it to be different?).

 

its probably not common, but i guess im just used to it on the is300 forum, most people GTE swap, Turbo their 2jz ge, then theres a good number of guys that use vortech to supercharge their car. yea now that i think of it is300 is the only supercharged 2j ive seen, na supra ,sc300, and the older gs are always turbo'd.

 

THANKS MAN IVE SEEN MORE SUPERCHARGED IS300s THAN IVE SEEN TURBO ONES. I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR FOR MY GIRL IT HAS THE FAMOUS TOYOMOTO ROTREX SP30 SUPERCHARGER SET UP WITH RC INJECTORS STAINLESS HEADER 3" EXHAUST FULL SUSPENSION IMPORTED WHEELS ETC. THE SUPERCHARGER BLEW A SEAL AND I NEED IT REBULT. IVE ONLY FOUND ONE GUY IN THE US SUPERCHARGERREBULD.COM. CAR IS A BEAST WHEN EVERYTHING IS WORKING WELL.
