I need to find a local shop that is selling a 1uzfe for a lexus is 400. Do any of you guys know of a reliable retailer? Mine just took the biggest shit on me

Its rare those things take a complete shit what happened to it? William has the right idea found my motor threw that site.

only 1uz's ive ever seen dead were owner neglect. 1 locked up, it was obvious the oil hadnt been changed for prolly 15+k miles. not much came out so prolly just ran till it was too low. another had 125k miles on it. timing belt was never changed. so it snapped. saw a couple with blown head gaskets, which means it overheated severly. one car had a cracked end tank on the radiator that was leaking. owner never bothered to keep it full. one had a split hose the owner never changed etc...

friend just bought one at 150 +k which was a bad idea but yes neglect i want to buy the shell, but i need to find a new 1uz i can stuff in it

I got mine at LKQ. I went to help my friend pull some shit for his SC300, and he found a fresh 96 SC400 just sitting there, untouched. I pulled the motor the next day (with Sean's help). They have a flat price of $250 for each motor. Regardless of type, year, or mileage. The price went up a little because of a core charge ($50), and they also charged me for the bellhousing.
