ES 300
the 2jz-ge is used in the GS 300 and SC 300 platforms. those motors use the n/a supra inline 6. that is the one where the twin turboes can be bolted on or what not.
the es300 is just a camry chassis with different lights and badges and interior perks. check out:

http://www.teamsc3.com (its so cal though but most of them are from camryman)
http://www.tt-cc.com (this is like the biggest one probably and is all toyota models)
the trd s/c i do not know whether it has been retrofitted on the es300 yet or not. it only works bolt on for 97 and up v6 motors (97-01). one guy has supercharged his 95 v6 motor but it required alot of custom wiring and testing and ecu fooling and etc and his car still does not run right, and he is toyota mechanic too.
the es300 motors actually have a slight increase in power over the camry v6 motors to put them "higher up" in the lexus brand - luxury etc. they mostly use different exhaust and small things to increase power. i believe either 97 or 98 and up lexus motors have vvt integrated into them and the ecu is alot harder to work with a trd kit. at one point they might have had 2 throttle bodies too but i dont know if thats true or not i forgotten some of that knowledge.

Unless you made the ES 300 a rear wheel drive car and did some major modifications, you WILL NOT be able to fit any Toyota/Lexus 3L I6 engine in the car (I6 is too long). Hence why the ES has the V6.
I like the previous ES 300 to the current model out. They seem to have more umph than the current ones.
As far as performance mods, I don't know of any

u can drop a 2jz-gte into a SC300. they r just as cheap but its a 2 door. some call it the supra coupe. u can find some pretty cheap used ones in decent shape. www.turboimports.com there is a nice black one there with a full 2jz-gte swap. also www.supraforums.com a few people there doin the SC300 and IS300 swap and some who have already done it.
