i just saw one of these for the first time ever...and couldn't believe my eyes. i guess they're rare...but the guy who had it said they had 190hp off of the flywheel.

is this true?
and how fast are they?

 

yes they are rare... even more rare then supras


were only imported 87-93 model years


87-89 have 190 hp

90-93 i believe have 220 hp

they are AWD

they are heavy 3600 or so pounds 0-60 for 88 model is 7.2 sec i believe and 1/4 is around 15 sec ( Stock )

they use 3S-GTE turbo engines, same as Mr2 Turbo's.

Originaly they were rally cars same as Subaru WRX, etc ( same class )

90-93 had 200hp/200tq not 220.

this one was the newer body style...like a 92 or 93.

was very clean...i shuold have taken pictures...but i am going to possibly sell a gsr motor to this guy so i'll be back at his shop later this week.

definitely surprised me thuogh...as i'm looking at the car's he had in his garage and i see a celica with "all trac" on the back. immediately i thought it was a clever aftermarket gimic or whatever but it became obvious after looking underneath the hood and car that it was definitely a 4 wheel drive turbo celica.

anyway, how much are these worth...say a 92 thats very clean with around 80k original miles.

 

about 8-10K they are very very nice. We have a project st165 alltrac. Soon to be Front mounted, TEC2, and t3/t4 powered.

And do you own a toyota shop around tampa? Hard to find mechanics that you can trust around here... lately been doing most the work my self
