7th gen Corolla wheel problems
1997 Toyota Corrolla (DX I think, honestly can't remember, lol I'll update when I get home)
The problem is it has some skinny ass pizza cutters for tires.
185 wide tires is scary skinny.
I know people drive around on them all of the time and yadda yadda yadda, but I personally don't like the wind pushing me all over the place in the rain.
Maybe I'm spoiled, I'm used to driving my 240sx's around and the skinniest tires I had on one of those was 235.
So, are there any options as far as hub swaps? Maybe a 5 lug from an new generation. or even a 4x100 to 4x114 swap.
I just want a little more rubber on the ground. It would be nice to have a little more confidence in my taction when my daughter is in the car.
I'm just not looking to invest a whole lot of money into this car.
Maybe a set of 4x100 wheels that are wider from a different car.
I'm just lookin for options.
Time, work, difficulty aren't really major concerns. I can do the work to swap hubs and all of that. Price is the big thing.
Thanks
