baddest 1j? i know of 1 in miami making 4 digit power already, and armin just built his and even knife edged the crank. failing to see how its the baddest in the usa. bad ass, yes, baddest, no

It's plenty capable of making 4 digit numbers. Knife edging the crank is in my opinion pretty dumb. The crank it'self only sits in maby half an inch of oil so the ability to cut through oil isn't that necessary. Then after getting it cut you have to get your entire rotating assembly balanced. Then it still doesn't stop windage and reduces it VERY minimally. It does however lighten the rotating assembly but in doing so sacrifices low end tq and revs fall quicker.

So with all that in thought would you really rather have your crank cut, shaved, polished, and then rebalanced and still not have any detrimental effect twards windage, or would you rather just buy a crank scraper, near completely eliminate windage, not have to get everything re-balanced, and just bolts right in.

depends on the goal. but honestly, for the 6m im building with webers, id like to get the crank knife edged, for the 7mgte im building, no. but both cars are totally diff purposes.
