Mr2 1991 turbo or swap?
Gen3 baby! I was totally on the fence until I met Mr2Driver YEARS ago...he convinced me and Im owning my 2nd gen 3 now.
I saw one guy said it's not worth the money...poo on you!
Setup: (with mods that pertain to it's power)
Garage Fukui DP2 Exhaust, GReddy IC, Stock gen3 rail with SARD 800cc injectiors, AEM Standalone, T3/T4 50 trim -> 350whp @18psi tuned on pump 93.
.. just to give you an idea.

When it comes to 300hp, there is no point to wasting money on a Gen2. I've got 5k into my Gen 3 with bolt ons (including the swap). I will challenge anyone with a 2nd gen that has spent less the 5k, you will not win. Gen3>Gen2. You cannot match the hp, and low end pickup "dollar for dollar".
seriously? im guessing your gen 3 is hte only setup youve had a chance to modify. we did a 2nd gen with ceramic turbo with a 54mm wheel, 550's and a safc and broke the 300whp mark without even remotly pushing the limitations of pump gas.... stock head, stock cams,
we also manages 295 wheel off a 2d06-20g completely stock, 2nd gen with stock head cams intake manifold, stock airbox, nothing but a 2.5" downpipe and 3" exhaust.
i never could figure out why everyone thinks there gen3's are so damn special.
nothing wrong with em, but going down the track, they just dont do anything gen2's dont

fuck it 3rz turbo. or 2nd gen 3sgte. too much money for the 3rd gen. or you can use any 3sgte block with a 88 3sge head from the celica gts due to larger ports and put some turbo cams in it. that would be cheap...er lol nothin special about the 3rd gens cuz in the end after all the upgraded parts they can all make the same hp. oo big deal more hp out the box throw on the 3rd gen turbo and cams and get a better tune an you got the same shit

def last longer than 20k. and try 9.3 in 1/4 with the 3sge gts head setup in a tube chassis tercel. and actually that was a camry 3s block on microtech ems.. and same comp as 2nd gen. stock stroke 20 over bore
