yeah, you need a standalone and tune it properly. piggy backs suck! proper a/f ratios and control of the timing makes all the difference!

a/f ratios are...well, were perfect before this vacuum leak. yea i don't have timing control, but that will all come in time.

and auto's suck!

to each his own im a stick guy the autos dont hold up to well if your into getting side ways. im no drifter but i like to try my hand at it from time to time and my last auto i had dident like it at all.

hence why the mk2's im keeping are manual.

, and the 84 should be swapped to 6 speed soon hopefully. last thing left to pay for is the machining of the flywheel. other then that just waiting on parts to arrive.

and btw, with a speed density standalone the a/f ratio would still be right even with a vacume leak

autos dont suck at the drag strip. my car was over 3700 lbs with me in it and still clicked off a 12.2 with a ct26
