stock 79 celica gear ratio
OK i need to know what the stock gear ratio for a 1979 celica liftback gt with manual tranny and i need to know what the stock gear ratio is for a 1980 1.8 corolla cause i got a 79 lift back and a 80 corolla and the rolla rear end is making a horrid noise wanted to know if i should replace the bearing thats making noise OR just swap out the 80 rear for the 79 rear

only way to tell is from the dada plate on the firewall in the engine bay. thats assuming they havent been changed. or you could do the old fashioned way and jack up the rear and count the rotations of the drive shaft for 1 rotation of the wheels. make sure its on concrete and jack stands and solidly on them before climbing under though.
