I have a stock 7Mgte and i want to know the biggest turbo i can run with a stock motor safely

 

The stock turbo, don't go bigger unless you build the engine with good internals. Now if/when you rebuild the engine, I wouldn't go bigger than a GT40. GT35 is just about the right size, any thing bigger wont work out okay usually.

 

It's not the size of the turbo.......

i'm running jt61gt bolt-on turbo rated at 475+rwhp on my 7m. a 62 trim is probably the max i would do for a sreet driven supra

 

i have a 57 trim ct26 on the car currently. with a lil more tuning id bet money im ~400rwhp or higher and thats wit hthe stock pos mk3 i/c. cant wait to get my new intake manifold and fmic on. later ill instal my gt40 but need to buy alot more stuff first. stock internals have been known to hold over 600rwhp. that wont happen without a standalone and a good tune. also needs a mhg and arp head studs.

 

We did a 35r on a stock 130k mile 7m with a metal headgasket, fuel system, and an Aem standalone and it made 501rwhp@ 21psi, and made 440rwhp on pump gas. The car was daily driven this way for about 30k miles.If you know what you're doing a stcok 7m can hold up to 600rwhp if it's a good motor.
