i want to do a 2jz twin turbo swap on my 98 Gs300, if anyone had done this. I'm wondering if the shifter inside the car is different if so, where or how do i mod this? Admins can move this thread to the correct place, sorry.

Moved to toyota tech. You will get a better response here than power adders I believe.

 

the swap is really simple there are alot of people who do it i did it to my 1st gen gs300 and they only charged me 3400 its great go ahead and do it man. oh and if you do the swap dont get the vvti motor there no good well thats my two cents good luck

 

the gte swap is probably the most well documented swap into the 2nd gen gs300

if done right the shifter is in the exact same place, you want to use to trans out of an aristo for the most direct swap but many guys are running supra tt auto trans and a few have gone 6 speed

a quick search of clublexus brought up a few threads if your not on there i highly suggest joining and reading there are tons and tons of threads about the swap in the 2nd gen GS section

one of the best documented swaps almost could be considered a diy

now if your motors strong why not just go single on the ge? depending on your power goals it can be cheaper and just as reliable, there are a few single kits that can get you running for under 2 grand then another grand will get you making some solid power real quick

 

if your going to stay VVTi then it'll drop straight in. If not, you got a lot of wiring to do
