He'll never get tired of that FD- it's a challenge for him. He's owned conventional engine cars for the most part, Skylines, DSM's, BMW's and now they just don't hold his attention.
He took major interest when I broke it and couldn't fix it and now I can't get his head out from under the hood.
Thanks guys for the props on the build- it should be pretty quick. The interior is mint but I'm gonna need new paint- I smacked it with a wrench and scratched the passenger door and fender in a nasty way. More crap to add to the list! I'm a little iffy about the new suspension- it was tough to find info on it so I'm just gonna have to see if it'll work for me once the wheels are on the ground.

Just catching up. I have a bunch to upload! I'll start with the Map ECU2

The shifter plate- made from nasty scrap and covered in FIPG

Tranny-right when it came off the pallet, diff, and the hurst quarted stick.

are the crimp connectors permeant? or just part time to make sure wirings correct before you solider them? crimp connectors have caused all sorts of havoc in my past projects

They're absolutely permanent. These aren't the kind you can buy in the auto parts store. These are aerospace quality- they are the exact same ones that Lockheed Martin uses when they build the super hornets. You pay $2.50 for a pack at Autozone- I pay $3 a piece. The wires will break before these will come undone so I won't be soldering anything on this car.
Tranny tunnel had to get beat like a red-headed stepchild. Just one spot though.
Tranny's mounted, torque converter bolts are in. I just need to loom a few wires and take a photography class.

I have a few pix of the intake coming along. It's been tapered, etc since these were taken.
