Default 7th gen Celica rear brake swap

hey

anyone have any info on how to go from the rear drum brakes to the rear disc brakes on the 2000-2005 generation Celica?

I've searched around and I could find info for the other generations, but not this one...

any write ups?

has anyone done it?

any info is greatly appreciated

thanks!

I would suggest picking up an assembly off a GTS and the Ebrake cables just incase if they are a little different. Should be a simple swap.

yeah you will need the ebrake cables but they should come with the rear setup

awesome to hear...

parts list?

can you get what you need from say the parts store, or do you have to find someone parting off a gts... ?

I was looking at it today and I can see where the potential would be for this to be really easy, but I didn't have a gts to compare it to so I'm not 100% on what all would actually need to change...

so i got some info from another forum...
now the only question I've got is do you really have to replace the entire hub assembly?
some say yes, some say no....

hubs are the same. just unbolt your stuff and swap in GTS stuff. I believe you need ebrake cables, flexible hose and the backing plates with calipers and all hardware.
