88-89 3sgte potential...
is there any performance difference innate in the 88-89 3sgte?say if it had a 20b and bigger injectors would it match the second gen given that the second gen had these mods also?

the 1st gen 3sgte has lower compression... 8.5:1 i believe. That's the only difference internally in the block. i know the head design is different than a 2nd gen, but i dunno exactly whats different. i sent my 1st gen head to MCS for a build, and they sent it back to me because their machinist said the parts were different from a 2nd gen head. regardless, you should make similar power with it. im using a 1st gen block/2nd gen head and i put down 245whp on 10psi with my setup (new thread to be posted this weekend). hope this helps
