The fifth-generation 4A-GE was produced from 1995 to 1998 is the final version of the 4A-GE and has black cam covers. This engine is fondly known as the "black top" yet again features even higher compression ratio (11:1), the air flow sensor is replaced with a MAP sensor, the diameter of the four individual throttle bodies was increased from 42 mm to 45 mm, the exhaust port diameter was increased, the inlet cam lift was increased from 7.9mm to 8.2mm and the inlet ports were significantly improved in shape, contour and also the width at opening at the head was increased, . This revision upped the power to 162 hp (121 kW) at 7800 rpm with 162 N·m at 5200 rpm of torque

working on a project 95 geo prizm and i;m swapping in a 4age 20 valve black top. I've got the motor in the car and 3 of the prizm mounts work and I have to fabricate the 4th mount on top of the tranny. I was looking at the fuel rail and I noticed that there were 3 fuel lines. I was wondering what they were exactly I was assuming one was the feed and 2 were returns not sure tho I'll post some pictures.

What DouglasProbe said Sorry I didnt get back to you soon, been kinda busy for the Lakeland event this weekend. But I talked to your buddy Steve earlier today about this car. I'll sending you some wiring diagrams for the BT20valve tomorrow when I get to my shop. Later.
