yes it can be done...yes it has been done a trillion times. good thing about that motor is that it still hass a ton of after market support from turbo to N/A.
you will have to make custom motor mounts and tranny mounts. but this is a pretty straight forward swap.

anyone that is familliar wth doing toyota swaps should be able to do this swap easy. go to www.toyota3tc.com and look around because i have seen some on there.
