Default 1998 4Runner 3400

I've got a 3400 in a 4runner, and when you shift from reverse to drive or vice versa, or from park to reverse, it clunks into gear, feels like a trans mount. Wondering what goes bad more often on these yoda's U-joints, or trans mounts, or diff bushings or what? thanks for the help.
Oh! and any suggestion on how to adjust idle? about 150rpm high, checked for vacuum leaks, none, tried the little adjustment set screw on the front of the throttle body as well, backed all the way out it's still 150rpm high.

The rear pinion in the rear axle is known to break and will sometimes make a clunk but driving it you would know it. To check the traqnny mount you can push up on the tailhousing and see if it moves as the rubber mounts toyota uses are crap and tear eaisly.
