how similar are the late supras frames to the old late 80s ones

 

the jza80 (93-98 in USDM) could be totally different from the old 87-92 models. the new model came out in 93 and whether they redesigned it from the ground up is something you can ask a real supra buff.

my assumption is no because they kept the FR setup and basically just restyled the exterior sheetmetal and changed engines to the 2jz-g(t)e. i do believe the suspension is the same type however they might have upgraded the subframe braces in the mk4s.
