Question Please someone help!

I have a 1978 toyota celica, and it is having some major problems with the carb. or so i think? The car stalls out at every stop light and hesitaes at high speeds. Its the original carb that was rebuilt about 3 months ago. I also changed the fuel pump and still this problem persists. Im almost sure its a fuel delivery problem. I have yet to find a mechanic that understands this older car. Please if anyone knows of anyone that may be albe to help me let me know. Im at the end of my rope and im very frusrtated.
