help me
if any one knows what i will need to slam my car the right way, please tell me if ya know so i don't get ripped off. i just want car lower to the ground. heres an example of what i saw on ebay for sell. so i would pay that plus for someone to put on? or is there a place i can go in pinellas county...help me...

what year celica is it? i could give you more help after that. But for all things install for celica's i'd say automotive progression. The owner is a celica owner, all tampa celica owners go over there to get things installed so prettymuch the best option. I can get you his info. he is located off exit 7 on I-4 so right out of tampa.
Now with that said i am completely opposed to ebay $50 coil overs. Few things you need to understand.
1st issue is the shocks.The "coilovers" are sleve style so go over your stock shock. when you slam the stock shocks with springs of sleeve coilovers the stock shocks blow out quick. You need aftermarket shocks that are made for the travel and spring rate of the sleved coilovers.
2nd issue is quality, these are cheap and you get what you pay for. these are not track tested and it is highly likely that you will break these
3rd is spring rates. The spring rate is very imporant when getting sprins for a specific car. these are universal and the sellers rairly know what the rate is for these. This makes it overly difficult for you to buy correct shocks to go with them
What i suggest . . . (This is for a 7thgen celica 00-05 but can be used for other cars as a suggestion)
1: ground control or skunk2 sleve style. these are the cheapest rout and i do not completely reccomend skunk 2. However these have been tested and tried over the years. also you can get the correct spring rates off of the springs to get correct shocks to match. However when you add up the cost of the ground control sleves + shocks your prettymuch at the rate of better quality full coilovers
2: Tein Basic's: around 700-800 which is the budget set. The best ting is these come with the springs and the shocks that are made to match so no extra work needed there. These do not have top camber mount adjusters so you use your stock mounts. These also have no dampening control (how hard or soft).
3: K-sport - known to blow in the past so not completely a good option but comes with top camber adjuster moutnts, dampening adjustment and only alittle more
4: Full coil over systems: Tein SS/SSP, JIC, Hotchkis, C-one, TRD etc. Not all have camber adjustment top plates but most have full dampening, are track tested and made higher quality. Sure some still blow but less likely then others. Though most run in the 1200+ range.
Now i know for the cost the ebay ones look like a great option but with your plan to slam it your stock shocks will blow quick, the ride quality will be crap and no clue when the coilovers themselves will snap. So in the end you will end up paying more money. So . . . save up your money, get a correct setup such as groundcontrol with matching shocks (they have suggestions on the website) or spend around the same and get TEIN Basic
I know this is long winded but if your really strapped for cash just get springs for now, wont be as low (unless you get really short springs though the shocks will blow) you can get some basic springs that are car specific from big names for around 150-250 but i would not go past 1.5" drop with stock shocks. you can go 2" and just wait till the stock shocks blow then you should have saved enough to get correct shocks

Well those miss leading coil over springs Are 100% con. I have a 90 gts and have 2" fr/1.8" megan lowering springs and kyb gr2 struts. Rides great and looks good. Some were around $250 for all.

I have no complaints. They are by far the best lowering springs I have rode on. I have been in car that have ran eibach, Skunk2, and tein. Teins were nice buy dont dig the 1.2fr/0.8r drop. Im thinking of going with K-sport coil overs.

^^not a massive fan of k-sport coilovers after i've seen numerous ones blow on different cars. all coilovers can blow but i've seen recently a good number of k-sports in not too harsh of conditions. I almost switched to them as they offered me a hell of a deal in sponsorships for the coils and brakes but after researching them i decided it may not be a good investment

Well Im limited to what i can get since The one I want to do is a 90. Sucks cause there is no parts readily availible. But I cant get over the body style. Take the good with the bad. Werent you friends with Mike. He had a silver 7th gen with a turbo setup?

yea mike is a cool guy. i havent seen/talked to him in a long time though except for randomly online.
as for limited parts yea that really sucks and i completely understand. you have to do what you can with what you have. if no other option then ksport is atleast a big name and does have a good fallowing. i just have seen allot of recent blowouts but could just be crappy driving
