Default 2JZ questions

HI i have a couple 2J questions.
1.What does VVTI stand for?
2.What does it do?
3.What 2j motor will work in a 90-92 MK3
4.What would i need to do to swap a 2j into a MK3
5.And what price range am i looking at?
6.Difference between 1J and 2J?
and finally
6.Is it worth it? (im sure it is)

1 & 2: What is VVT-i - www.FloridaSupras.com
3. If you're going to do a 2JZ-GTE swap into a MK3, you'll need the mid-sump pan from a SC300/Soarer or JZA70 or JZA80 Supras (Aristo cuts have a front sump pan that does not clear the A70 cross member) and you'll need JZA70 1JZ mounts if you already have the 'round' later style mounts for 89.5+. For a tranny either the Aristo A340E can be kept if you're an automatic car, or if 5-spd you can use the A70 R154 as long as you use the JZA70 bellhousing and clutch for the R154 transmission.

For the rest of your answers I suggest you do some research on this section to see what you are getting yourself into: Other Engine Tech (1JZ-GTE, 2JZ-GTE, Etc) - SupraMania

It is expensive an expensive swap, but even more if you are not mechanically inclined and are not comfortable with doing your own wiring.

Go to SupraMania - Powered by vBulletin . It is a mainly MK3 Supra based site and it will have a lot of the answers for your questions and then some plus the people are nice and almost always willing to help.

Like I said, go on that forum and read. It will all mostly depend on your budget.

I would hate to see how much a fast car would scare you then if a slow one scared the living sh*t out of you

I've been a Supra enthusiast and owner for 9 years now. Most of the informational sites out there were started by me, such as SupraMania.com and ClubNA-T.com. You learn a lot through other's experiences and your own throughout time.
