Default MegaSquirt v3 or MapEcu2?

megasquirt being full ems, its what i really want. its gonna cost me prolly about 600 bucks to fully get things running. but its going to be a lot of work and i mean A LOT. ive been told of a way to get it to work properly and hear nothing but good things but i dont exactly know anything about tuning just yet. i want to learn to tune myself so this is why i want to get ms.

on the other hand you have mapecu2. its a piggy back system thats 700 bucks and includes an electronic boost controller as ms does not. i hear a lot of good and bad things about it. some people say it works and some people sais it doesnt. i basically get the same speach about both setups. so im wondering if anyone has any experience with any of the two on a 3sgte.

megasquirt all the way. read read read. chances are someone out there has done the same thing your thinking so look through the MS files people have uploaded so you can get a decent basmap to work with instead of starting from scratch (not for the beginner). and MS is only 250$, 20$ tuning cable, 40$ for the attachable harness. and with the money you save you can buy an EBC.
