hey
anyone know about what a 1MZ-FE costs? this is the v6 engine found in 94-01 camrys and 99-03 solaras. anyone know where i could get a good deal on one? im looking for a project this summer and i dont have the money or time to get a whole new car with the v6 and my plans to turbo are just not working because my 5S-FE is too high in mileage and just not worth to build up.

basically i plan to get a v6 port/polish the heads and add the trd supercharger (hopefully with an upgraded 6-8psi pulley (only at 4psi now). 6-8 psi is good for close to 270-290 whp i believe.

this may not happen til around next xmas or later depending on my money but i am currently saving up for this. i have pretty much stopped modding the engine of my car. im just going to upgrade brakes and do maintenance to keep the i4 together.

if at all possible i would like to just buy the v6 block and heads. i dont want the intake plenum. since i will be getting the s/c i wont need it. ill take new or slightly used. also the v6 5sp tranny is needed.

plans:
trd s/c with upped boost
5sp with TRD LSD
y-pipe
blah blah blah

i have finally decided on this project as i believe the v6 engine costs somewhere in the ballpark of 2000-2500 if less...the s/c is currently at 2500-2600 but in a year it is expected to be around 2300-2400.

if i cant get this project to work out (probably wont...nothing ever seems to work for me) the cam is going bye bye and im going for 240s or subarus.

yeah that was my plans. or do the same thing with a civic hatch (b18c5 muhahahaha) thats the ITR engine...would take too long to save for..woulda been nice.

as for now i think im just gonna get headers and keep my car all motor and enjoy the gas mileage and then sometime during college get something and work on it while i have my camry as the RELIABLE daily driver
