will in my opinion it looks like shit...but hey it has a big interior..ande the adds where in P.R. so that kewl..i seen the vits in japan witch is the same thing as the echo but hatchback and looks some what better (if u like that high as look) than the coupe..and has a better motor(i think)...all i really what to know is can u put the new celica motor in it cuz the motor that is in the echo has the same egine code as the gt celica so if u can put a gts in the celica can u put it in the echo..???

a week or 2 ago stillen in Cali had toyota day and alot of solara and camry owners showed up because stillen is supposed to start making some parts for us.

after that they did some dynoing and then 2 of the guys raced one had a gen3 camry (92-96 like mine) and the other had the same camry except it was in the shop getting the 3s-gte put in still...so he was using his new echo which only has a cold air intake) the echo smoked that camry for real. and the guy with the camry had like intake/exhaust and visual mods...the echo weighs like ~2100lbs and has 95hp to the wheels i think...the camry is like 3300lbs and has 130hp (base gen3).

anyways the new echo has vvt-i and i hear its pretty sweet on those and the new cels. (better than vtec haha)

im thinking its possible to fit the celica engine in there since theyre both i4s...but what size is the echo? isnt it like 1.8L? the celica is 1.8 too i think but not sure. but imagine an echo with a GTS in there pushing 190HP? hehehe

My opinion the car is ugly as hell but you can only make an econobox look so good. I actually liked the center mount speedo and guages they were way more visible then guages in behind the steering wheel but this story is kind of funny: The other day a Z24 Cavy rolled up on my while I was driving my moms Echo I was carrying my gf and two brothers. The Cavy rolled up and threw a rev at me I wondered why even till this day but anyway so I cruised next to him(approx 55mph) looked over and then we both dropped it I couldnt believe my eyes the fucking Echo pulled and starting walking on up to 85 I was yellin holy shit holy shit! I couldnt believe what I was doing my brothers were laughing their asses off in the back seat I let off after 85 since I was woopen ass and the stability of the Echo isnt that great after 75mph. It is a good car IMO but I would never buy one.
