What kind of boost can be safely run on a stock bottem end of an 89 Supra Turbo? Also what are the average stock 1/4 mile times for those things?

You can run up to 18 psi boost on a stock bottom end of a Mk3 with a metal head gasket and necessary upgrades. Check out this modestly modified Mk3 (350 rear wheel HP) running 17.5 psi on a 102 deg. F day http://ginch.org/~davidm
This car is an automatic and its running the quarter mile in 12.3@112 mph. Those numbers can be beat with that boost. Anyhow good luck.

Thats a hell of a lot better than I would have guessed. Thanks for the info/help oh yeah and welcome to TampaRacing.Com also.

 

Right now im running 12PSI on my Profec. Once i installed the Lexus/550cc injectors and S-AFC im going to try 16PSI on my stock engine/MHG. Even with 12PSI my car has the performance as my 95 TA.
