i was gonna say it aint any harder than a 7M HG

BUT if the head is warped a little then you will need to machine it and then you WILL have to get an aftermarket one to make up for the difference after the machining.

and yota only has HG problems on the 7M man not the 1J. someone didn't take care of it if they popped a head gasket in a 1J

 

If you think that's a problem, it gets worse!. You got ripped off, dude. That's a 7M, not a 1J.

if its really a 7m then swap it for a REAL truck motor, a SBC, lol. i wish i took pics of what happened to my grocery getter when that gasket popped while sitting at a traffic light. took the #4 rod bearing and the valves with it.

 

if you find out you need any other parts when you are doing it let me know. i have 2 extra 7m ge motors one is stock and the other one just got shiped in from over seas.

 

Im a little confused by a JZ with BHG... You should take some pics of the motor in the car for sure!

if its a 1JZ engine that he for sure has yur 7M motors will do him no good. none whatsoever
