I Have A 99 Toyota Tacoma And The Check Engine Light Came On. I Did A Dio On It And It Comes Up Egr Problem. I Took The Valve And All Hoses Off And Cleaned Them , Cleared The Code And 2 Days Later The Light Is Back On So Then I Replaced The Egr Valve Cleared The Code And Sure Enough 2 Days Later The Light Is On Again. What Else Can I Try? Any Ideas?

 

May be a egr temp sensor. Mine used to do that then I just put a resistor in the Temp probe plug and no more code.

 

check the egr vsv.....its common on toyota's ....even the charcoal canister might be bad....get the code and ill find out what it will be....i work for toyota
