Ok so here it goes, my buddy has a 00-01? celica GT, thats loosing compression, a piston is bend and hit the top of the valve. and like a valve is floating or somtin. its piston #1 i think. now here my questions are..

he took it at some shop and the dude said 1700$ to fix it. witch is rebuilding the head and shit.

#1 should he just rebuild the head at dis shop
#2 should he rebuild the whole motor. (he gots the money)
#3 while the motor is worked on anything he coud do to it? as pistons... blah blah blah. lower compression? make it quicker?
#4 he was thinking should he turbo it? (he got the money)
#5 are there any shops around here that work on celicas and are good and do good work.

he was thinking that if the motor is gettin worked on he might as well take it to a performance shop and have them just build his motor and everything. he could spend bout 5g's on it. what should he do? he was asking me but i donno what to tell him? any help guys?
