I talked to my buddy at toyota about a week ago about an 04 and hes said there is no major problems with them,so buy that sexy beast

 

the radios suck apparently.. they break regularly. Check the crank pulley out as well! They split, and it seems independent of mileage. If it still is under warranty, it would be nice... If not, boostlogic sells a good one Other than that, you should be good, remember the crank and such is good for more than 1000 hp

 

Thats what i was getting at. Some of the parts are strong enough to handle that, with proper maintenance, the 2J's should never have a problem hitting 200k miles. They are relatively overbuilt if you know what i mean

Other than the radio, and some of the C-Best shit you'll never figure out they are awesome cars. Handling is good, styling is all preference, but i like em!! More than anything else though, the service is EXCELLENT! if you go to a lex dealer, they will change the volume of the keyless beep, sunroof settings, auto dimming.. The C-best i think its called is the slew of shit that the car can do that you never knew about There is a huge list, but you may want to check out clublexus.com!

good luck in your search, i just hope you arent searching for a black interior 5speed car with good miles! impossible to find what i wanted in one of those cars. The escaine is nice too, i wouldnt want the straight leather, and NO way on the cloth, it flat out sucks!

solid leather, or the escaine, like your STi? The E-shift really isnt all that bad, and AFAIK the auto trannies in the 2jz-ge powered cars are relatively reliable up until about 350whp, so stock shouldnt be an issue. Ive just heard to baby them a bit on the trans flushing. GGP is a damn good looking color on that car however, GL with searching, post up if there is anything else or some pics if you get one!
