Default Need some help from you toyo guys

I've been doing a bit of research and I am really interested in doing a 2jz 93+ motor in a 94 toyota tacoma with a 1jz tranny. I hear the 1jz tranny is better than the 2jz tranny? Wondering what an average labor cost would be to swap this into the truck? I found out the 4 cylinder mounts just have to be flipped. Im assuming most the the cost to swap over has to be with the body harness and ecu and a few other parts such as an intercooler, and driveshaft and probably a bit with the fuel? I found a site that sells complete 2jz swaps for 2150 with a/t power steering pump, a/c, alternator, distributor, ecu, intake manifold. Also curious if anyone out there besides xat has done this?

Go to CustomTacos. There are plenty of guys there that have done this. There is actually a guy building turbo kits for the Tacomas. Using the 6 speed Getrag V160 tranny it will hold way more than a R154 - 1JZ tranny. The W58 that is behind the GE motor is weaker but still I'm holding 500+rwhp with it.

i know of a 93 toyota truck shell 2wd short bed that has already been set up for a JZ series motor. it had a 400hp single turbo 1j with r154 tranny. the truck still runs with the 1j in it, but he is selling the motor and tranny out of it. the truck is for sale too, but has some body damage. on the bed and front left. nothing big, truck is still on the road and still drivable. and already has the upgraded 8.0 inch rear end. pm me if you want more details.
