NA-T or Swap it?

Ok my friend has a Sc300 He put a thicker headgasket on it and turboed it..It hauls ass plain and simple..He also has a Supra with the twins still on it And his Lexus is WAYYYYYY faster than his Supra..He also has a bottle on the Lexus and it runs just fine no problems..I'm not sure on his hp but he runs 11's.He told me that they are basicly the same motor..I'll see if I can get him to post.
arent the internals different, the ones in a turbo engine would be better cause there built to handle the boost
ive known people who have added turbos to n/as, and have ran a lot of boost and then had to upgrade the internals, cause they went bad

To answer the question, what kind of power are you looking for? either way turbocharging the NA motor is going to yield you motr power for the $ compared to swapping. Many, and I repeat.. MANY people including myself and kbprice have successfully turbocharged the GE motor, I myself also run a website which is dedicated to turbocharging the NA motors (http://www.clubna-t.com) feel free to visit there for any technical advice. I dynoed more than a BPU 2JZ-GTE on a setup which cost ALOT cheaper than swapping out the motors.... this is while my car was only @ 10psi and the BPU twin turbo supras were boosting 18+ psi.... you do the math
and yes the internals are the same, yes the heads are the same with the exception of different bolt patterns for the intake/exhaust manifolds... but there is just as big of an aftermarket for the GTE than there is with the GE when it comes to the intake/exhaust manifolds.
hey just my two cents but tuning would be the most important thing to consider here...wouldn't it,?because detonation(ping...knock...running lean)is what destroys more motors.in other words whether you do a swap or turbo your na just make sure you never run lean and it'll last longer.BTW Kirk...kewl website.
