Umm Celicatech.com Register and put down GT4SOM reffered you. Thats the best message board to get info on swapping your fwd celica. Use the search function before posting in the FI forums.

 

thanks, but i dont need to register and all that stuff. me and my friend are replacing the motor this weekend and may need a little help with it.

 

How much are you paying for help?

I've had way too much experience with the 4AFE. Sometimes I have nightmares about those clamps from hell connecting all those coolant hoses on the back and side of the block. And those nuts holding the intake manifold on. And replacing the starter motor. And the list goes on.

 

Oh man I hate the intake mani bolts. Atleast with the S series the engine is at an angle.

 

i meant help as in something to go by. my friend has a repair manual but i was looking to find as much info about the swap as possible. its his car, im just in it for the learning expierence.

by the way we spent about 12 hours on it this weekend. we are about half way done. last night we started pulling the old motor out and realized that the rear mount bracket has to be unbloted from the tranny, welll, just like the other 500 bolts involed they are a PIA to get off. so we had to stop there for the night.

overall for this being my first time, its really not that bad. it just sucks finding little shit that has to be done and having to take off extra parts to make clearence for the engine to come out.
