sc400
I dont know man there is not really a lot of support out there for that motor.I think everything has to be custom made. And besides supra blocks can hold together all the time to up to like 800hp.I doubt the 1uzs would last past say 450.But like I said Im trying to gather all the knowledge I can before I dive into this little project.

Try again. Both blocks are known to get 1000 HP stock bottom end. Also, if you look at the link I posted, there are kits for the 1UZ if you are too lazy to assemble everything yourself...its no different than 2JZ..you have marked up kits that include everything or save yourself a couple bucks and get specifics yourself. 1UZs are known for 250k miles easily and I've heard supposedly 400,000 even. 2JZs just have had far more publicity...1UZs are HUGE in australia making more power with less boost.
I'm not doubting the 2JZ at all...just saying you should also concider the 1UZ which is lighter (all aluminum) and has that edge of displacement advantage

hey I am not doubting you.Thats why I posted this is because I wanted to get all the knowledge I can.But I did look at the link for a sec but I will get some more info off of it.But I would definatly piece a kit together myself. But is it true that yoyu cant really tune the 1uz ecu?
You cant tune any stock ECU as far as I am aware of. Its "RAM", read only memory where you cant change any of the data physically on the ECU...S-AFCs and whatnot are used to fool the computer into a wrong reading to get a desirable air fuel ratio.
This is all your desicion...both have their advantages and both are incredibly built engines that may never again be designed to such calibur; both have their own differences to concider.
SC300: Inline 6 that has millions of nutswingers to follow, easier to work on, smaller, possibly cheaper, and the only one of the two that came from the factory with a manual transmission
SC400: Lighter engine, less commonly modified, similar potential, far far more built, far more common engines, also incredibly reliable. Both are cheaper, excellent alternatives to high priced MkIVs.
I commend you for coming out here and looking for related knownledge..and not being so naive to find a new use to show off CO2

Well I have worked with several hondas and Im ready for something different.Rear wheel drive mainly. And as I do love the MKIV I believe they are well over priced and I think that there is nothing left to do to them.Where as I think the sc300/400 has alot more the achieve.Thats why Im thinking more about the 1uz.Because I have seen one person with a kit(turbo) for this car but there was no dyno numbers.Basically whatever route I go Im looking for about 600-700rwhp.So I will keep doing reserch and keep you guys posted as to when I start this whole ordeal. But any help and advice you guys can give me would be more than great.
