i have a 1986 mr2, i've swaped either an AE-92 or AE101 4agze motor , all is good except i believe it is the 26 pin connector has been cut off with the clip missing i've gotten a clip that fits out of a camry but of course its not the color combo. I have printed the pinout diagrams from the AE-92 and AW101 . both are similar but both are saying that there are wires on the harness that i dont on my harness. I am very confused because i dont do anything that has to do with wiring on cars.so if anyone has done this swap it would be great if you could help me.
1st off you need to find out which motor you have. because the ecu pinouts are different between the ae92 and ae101 GZE's. if you have the 26 pin connector your is more than likely a ae101 motor. which means its a MAP sensor motor. i have a ae92 GZE and i have the 10/12/24 pin connector on mine. the motor i got came with a uncut harness but there is still stuff missing. your best bet is to sell all the stock GZE stuff and just do a megasquirt set up like i'm going to do. the GZE computers are notoriouos for being very finickey and not work right. believe me i'm done a tone of reasearch on putting my GZE in my ae86.

ae101 has coilpacks and a star pattern on the sc pulley. its also a smallport head.
