does any one know how to tell if a mark IV supra came with manual or auto trans.I trying to buy one and want to know. The guy told me he bought it with a manual and the car is 1 of 9 . I think the car was converted to a manual just wondering if there a way too tell??????thanks

 

If you look on the inside of the driver's side B-pillar, you should see a card with the GVWR, VIN, paint, trim, and transmission code. If has a A-340E than it was an auto, if a V-160 then it's a manual.

Also if he said it came manual and its 1 of 9 then regardless of color/hardtop/etc.. he's either
a) full of shit or
b) doesnt know what he's talking about

 

Is the car blue? I know there were only 9 automatic RSPs made. If you bought an RSP and it was converted to a 6 speed, then you're a lucky guy, I'd say.
