Default Wassit worth?

OK, I have a chance to get a 93 or 95 (I forget the exact year but its the rounded F&F bodystyle) MR2 thats basicly bone stock. T-tops, 5 speed. It has a little body damage but nothing major. Interior leaves a bit to be desired but again nothing really major (seat covers would do wonders). What should I offer the guy for it? Oh, yea, I think it has around 100-150k (again dont remember exactly as I only got a quick once over before a flunky worker ran me off). Thanks in advance.

Didnt get to look under the hood but by all appearances, I would have to say no, not a turbo. Is there anything in particular that would indicate otherwise (like a VIN # digit?)?

Exclamation Hmmm...

Well whatever it is, its going to need new parts here and there to make it run smooth and confident (Peace of mind that you are not going to get stuck on the side of the road).

In most cases, you are going to pay high dollar for an MR2 and then you have to provide immediate maintenance. Thats just how it works bro. So if you plan on buying and selling, dont do it... cause you will lose. But, if you plan on keeping it forever and you love the car soo much that you'll sleep in it... then go ahead and get it, cause the car when treated right will love ya back kid.

If the owner is asking top dollar or $100 bucks off of top dollar, then make sure it has all the options you are looking for to at least justify the sale a bit.

The most important are the following things. BEFORE you buy, you need to take it to toyota for a full inspection and pull a carfax report of it. Whatever the cost these two things add up, you must split with the owner. This will keep things honest if he agrees and you will feel better about the sale if you go through with it.

The last thing is, ask around about prices in the area to give you an idea of todays market.

Good luck.

PEACE-

OK, well, what would be a ballpark figure for the car? High/ low range maybe? Supposedly the car runs and drives & has a clean title. Is there anyone near Inverness that could check it out for me? Cost? If theres any takers hit me up off list.

well unfortunately u said it might be a 92 or 95. if its a 95, expect to pay a lot more than u would a 92 since 95's are extremely rare. the biggest factor is whether its turbo or not. u can tell by checking to see if it has a turbo emblem on the rear or popping the hood. check http://www.mr2oc.com/ and be ready to gather a lot of info since those two years are slightly but significantly different.
