180hp on the GTS over 160hp on the Tc ...

I do like the Tc's though. My friend is getting one over the summer.

Any of you guys have done some mods to them? I'd like to see them with a drop and nicer wheels.

 

btw be quiet/ dont be ashamed. I think all new scion's are cool. even the toaster looking ones.. Better looking than my 2nd car (Toyota echo) LoL..

 

haha, I'm not ashamed at all. I love my car. I know it's damn slow, but I'm not one for drag racing anyway.

 

Theres alot of Tc's out in brandon. I talked my girlfriend into getting one. Its alot better then the firebird she wanted. Now she actually wants a mitsubishi eclipse. Doh! They look nice but she kinda neglects her cars. She relies on the warranty. Anyways I know the quality of toyota is behind the Tc. Hopefully they stop selling them at msrp so she can get hers soon.

 

i respect your opinion on what you think about the tC ..but you have no clue on the proformace this car has and can do. the tC was made for boost that was the whole intension that toyota had on the car, the internal are vary strong for being stock. the car is vary torquey it has a 160hp and 163 torque ... i have seen some dynos on the car stock and it pushing 141whp and and 143 in torque keep in mind this is to the wheel. im not saying the tc is a fastest car but there is no honda stock that can out proforme the tc the only one that can stay in the game is the Si and not by much .. the GT celica is no match stock and the GTS is a great race but from the role i eat them up... off the line is a vary good race its a driver race . there's a tc thats runing 12.5 turbo.. keep in mind this is the first year for the car .. the proformace world is now catching up. . so just keep your eyes open you might see a super white tC turbo around tampa in the near future" hint hint " and i dont mind to see what you have in your ST turbo one day so ill keep you posted "elspuperspic"...

Sorry but I don't drive a ST turbo celica, even if I did I would still walk a TC. And I really don't know what makes you think that the Tc was made for boost. It has vvt, thats not really boost friendly. I think I'll stick to my retro line of cars. Besides for 3000$ or so, trd offers a supercharger that would only add 40 hp to the tc. Wow, thats about 750$ for every 10 hp. Not really a great bargain.

 

and its seem like you are vary familiar with turbos in toyota so i might have a couple questions for you when im ready to do it "BIG" i was a honda guy for a long time until my accord got stolen about a year ago and i was in the market for a new car so i bought the tC and was the first one in tampa to get one so i have had it a little over a year...

well if you read up on the spec of the engine. if toyota wanted they could of easly put the 1.8 GTS motor in the tC.but they didnt cuz they had bigger plans..there are cons and pro to both engines.. yeah you can rev higher but when you boost that engine the lag in the turbo is not that great. i would be ay full boost at about 2500rpm. all that im saying is that the scion brand will have a big part in the proformance world and will be a vary good competitor and will hold his own.
