Cool XAT: Visit

Just so you know, my XAT visit was a complete success!

This guy Ryan, AKA (The Toy Doctor), got there early and started working on my 2 the moment he step out of his car. He literally parked next to me, put his personal bag aside and began troubleshooting!

A few hours later, no more “Lean” condition problem, Profec B installed with Hi/Low boost set, and Air Fuel meter installed. Done. To say the least the guy doesn’t mess around. If he said two words to me while he was working, it was a lot. He simply gets on it and stays on it. He charges good money, but he doesn’t waste any time whatsoever. I still had time that day to get a tire, install my crossed drilled rotors, front calipers, Redline MT90 etc. I got more things done yesterday than I have all year!

SHOP GRADE: A+

Now my MR2 runs soooo sweet and its ready for taxi’ in brother!

"Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full" Zoooooom! (Quote from Top Gun)

What was the actual issue that was causing the "lean condition"?

Default Re-visit

Ok you were right, I should of started at this shop in the 1st place. Well at least I made it right!?

I came back to the shop on Saturday as a walk in, The Toy Doctor happend to be there working on a Toyo Truck. Since he was there, I couldnt resist in asking him to fix my Radiator Fan and A/C problem. He said after he finishes the truck and has some lunch he will get on it.

30mins later my Radiator Fans only turn on when they are suppose to and my A/C finally works. Done.

I wonder if this guy does taxes? LOL

By the way, I'm running a stock EMS. I have the following:

B.O.V.
Intake
Profec B II
Gauges
Redline Gear Lube
4 Crossed drilled rotors
Springs
CT20B (In my closet)... Damn I need exhaust!
Oh yeah, and a fresh Toyo rebuild.

Default Troubleshooting the Lean Condition

The Lean condition was due to the timing being off. My other problem was my 2 had a bad radiator that was replaced by Toyota. When they replaced the Radiator... I notice that my fans were always on and my A/C compression no longer kicked on.

Toyota Lakeland told me that they could only get one or the other to work. The Toy Doctor later discovered that Toyota Lakeland had installed a Radiator switch instead of a thermister. The switch was somehow disabling the A/C cause it was seeing it as a short.

Anyways, both problems above have been found and fixed.
