Toyota Cressida (the 4 door supra)
well not really 4 door supra, but it does have a 7M-GE and RWD.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has one of these and has done some mods to it? I ask because as of now, I have a 1990 Toyota Cressida with 80k miles and we're the original owners. If mods on the car are too hard to do (I'm just now starting to get into cars, so I dont know much about working on them) then I'd wanna sell the car and go for something easier to work on.

YES it IS a 4 door Supra. They just all came auto N/A. Great cars, great sleepers. They usually at least swap the N/A manual (W58 ) in. Swapping in the 7M-GTE is the same, except for oil pan problems IIRC. There are many a forum to find on them scared about on google. Also, 1JZs are quite possible, recently on autotrader one was for sale.

What he said. The ones with the 5M-GE did, and were identicle/similar to their MkII counterparts, but the last generation ones only came in auto.

well my 7M-GE is in hella good condition, so I really dont NEED to swap it out... and a 1jz is really expensive. Plus, I wouldnt trust myself to swap my engine, and I cant afford a mechanic to do it. Is there anything worthwhile I could do to my 7M-GE? Could it handle any boost? Does a W58 5 speed tranny just bolt in or do I have to do some custom stuff? How would I go by getting a better exaust? To my knowlege, the stock exaust is a POS.
Speak to me as if I dont know shit about how cars work please. I'm just now starting to get into cars, so I dont know much about working on them. Thanks for the help so far guys

i dont know about the clearance on the strut tower on the Cres, but I dont see why you cant put the 7mgte exhaust manifold on there, some 440s, a ct26, an MKIII intercooler(get some pipes made), and just do the NA/T swap... also re the driveshafts a little shorter on the w58 as aposed to the r154 i cant remember.
