94 corolla engine difference

this is a repost but i wasn't very specific before. how can i tell by inspection, the difference between these 2 engines? i already know one is 1.6 and the other is 1.8. i want to know how can a person be able to tell the difference upon close inspection of the engine itself. (maybe the position of the starter, and o2 sensor some defining factor)

Look on the exhaust side of the block under exhaust port 4. it actually says it.
