It can handle much more than 400rwhp on internals...google it theres someone running like 600+ IIRC.Just turbo it...

I wll give you my very biased opinion on what you will be able to do with the SC. If you can find a decent car for under $6k your set. It will probably be an automatic which is OK because you are going to have to spend the money you saved buying the car on an upgraded tranny anyway. Turbo kits are easy to get ahold of. Boostlogic has a nice kit with all polished IC pipes and a tubular manifold for about $5K. Another $2-$3K in guages, electronics, stereo, whatever and you've got a 400+rwhp sleeper.
I have experience with tearing my car apart and putting it back together after porting and polishing the head if you need any pointers or ideas PM me.

you should do the 1JZ swap... if you are worried about HP potential, then mull this over; there is a guy in miami making power numbers into the high-800's on stock internals. if that isnt enough HP potential for you, i dont know what is. the 1JZ has enough potential as a 2JZ but will not make as much torque, mod for mod. the 1JZ can rev higher in stock form and will drop right into the SC chassis with minimal modifications. the SC chassis was DESIGNED for the 1JZ and stuffs.
you can turbo the NA motor which is fine and dandy, but youll be limited on ultimate power production.
you can swap in a JDM 2JZGTE, but youll be limited with the smaller cams, smaller injectors and 1.5bar boost limit on stock map sensor and ecu. these clips usually come out of Aristo's so they will require some extra work for the wiring side of it all.
or, you can get an actual Soarer 2.5GT half cut and do a direct plug-n-play swap and only have to mess with the wiring. the wiring isnt that bad. i did all the wiring for our 1JZ swap into a supra and it took maybe 7-8 hours total, and that was making sure everything was perfect too; soldered, twisted, heat shrunk, routed, adding sheilding, duplicating common grounds, removing pins from connectors to solder where applicable.
i personally would do a 1JZ swap into the SC. an actual 2JZGTE swap is cost prohibitive and a turbo kit on the 2JZGE wont have the same potential as a 1JZ, stock internals for stock internals.

the cheap and easy way to go would to buy a mk3 supra and do a 2jzgte or 1jzgte swap. you can find really cheap mk3's everywhere. where as you'll spend alot more getting a SC or any lexus for that matter. ogg yeah, and dont do the 240/RB, thats the gheyest swap known to man.. they really suck at: making power, being reliable and the suck to work on and hardley ever run right. i know cause i've done 3 rb swaps. the rb26 is ok but the rest of the RB family suck ass.
