on the xat site, it saids they offer a stand alone for our cars, what sort of standalone are they?

anyone here running a standalone ems? i am planning to get a nemesis down the road...

 

its called megasquirt. they have done plenty of 3sgte swaps into FWD celica's and used that managment on it and it has made power and been reliable. and theyhave done a couple of n/a to turbo sw20 swaps. i'd say they are the leading 3s exsperts in tampa.

 

well they are the best SHOP in tampa at least.. I know some better experts though Still, for a shop they are pretty good at the 3s. I know before they were working on a romtune but I'm not sure what eventually happened to it.

 

i want to get a nemesis down the road, and i would like it tuned by someone who knows about it, like rickyb and noshoes, but since neither of them live near, i hope i can find a good local tuner who will be able to tune the powerband and daily drivability

Why? an engine is an engine is an engine.. Fuel, air, spark. Enthalpy is better at tuning Fuel, air, and spark than ryan is. Ryan just knows how to wire an ecu a little easier and or maybe crack it easier. But its not like Enthalpy cant learn protocol for a new system, he does it all the time.

Especially if your talking about megasquirt, since that has nothing to do with toyota anyways. As long as you wire it right, then its no problem at all for scott.
