I just had my MKIV detailed at a professional detail shop, they cleaned everything including the engine and now I beleive its misfiring? Has anyone had this problem? I beleive they pressure washed the engine?

pressure washing an engine bay is never good.

Could be many problems, simple if your lucky. I would take it back to them and tell them how bad it is to pressure wash engine bays, and have them fix it.

If they pressure washed the engine the area where your spark plugs are located is full of water.

Causing the spark to jump. Resulting in a misfire condition.

What you need to do is locate someone with an air compressor. Remove the two spark plug covers and blow the water out.

For some weird reason the non-turbo heads have no drain for the center. The turbo heads do drain.

Theres nothing wrong with washing your motor just have to be aware of what not to hit with high psi water. Good luck.

I had my blue one for alot longer then yours has ever run...I've had this one for awhile as well. So get the facts straight before shooting off at the mouth. And we will run soon, when I fix these odds and ends.
