Default mr2 axles? new transmission need help making decision

long story short, my driver side axle on my 91 mr2t is warped and if i drive it, it slings grease everywhere until there is no grease anymore and the horrible click noise comes in

i called discount auto and they couldn't even give me a price on axles, and then i called car quest and they quoted me for 80 dollars a pop for axles.

i have a daily drive and i am not hurry to drive the mr2

should i save up and buy a 93+ transmission and then get 93+ axles or should i go ahead and buy the axle for my 91?

and does the 80 dollar axle sound right? i saw axle as much as 200 dollars each on the mr2oc forums

yeah, the 93 trans shifts way better, also the lsd makes for better cornering. 80 is a cheap price on an axle. It must be used. The difference between the two trans are night and day.

how much does the 93+ trans run? where can i locate a relieable one?

if i just get a new tranny, i was thinking of getting the alltrac's taller 5 gear like blake so i dont have to do 4k on the highway

A complete 93 + tranny with axles can run into the 700+ range for a used one and 1500 and up for a new one

I have one extra turbo axle. It is just the axle no jack shaft or stub shaft. $40.00
