Default Help understanding Import Laws from Japan to US

Hey, I found this website that ships out used japanese cars. I see that theres a 1993 GT-4 from japan. I emailed them and they told me to look into the import laws from japan. They they do ship to miami. My question is if its legal to ship an entire car into the US?

NO. you cant import a complete car into the US, generally speaking. the car needs to be dismantled and imported as a "parts car". the rear subframe/assy needs to be removed, engine/tranny combo, front seats, fenders, hood and front bumper.

this is not a problem if you can find someone between japan and here to dismantle the car for you before it comes into port. i know a guy who could help out w/ that but i havent been able to get ahold of him for a little while now.
