Question how much would..

it be to put my MR2 in the shop to get them to fix the timing? i'm in iowa for a couple months and i have a job out here.. so i wanna send the money home to my ma, but i'm just wanting to get a general estimate on how much you toyota guys/girls think it would be. i think i'm gonna go through the dealership.

Dealership? you could probably pick up another car for less than they will charge you.

I belive FC Drifter was charged around 1-200 in labor for geting his timming belt tensioner put on . Probally a little more than that to put the actual belt on and time it .

Some Toyota dealerships will not work on MR2's though so be careful .

worst possible scenario= you could buy another mr2 w/ a gze for what they will get you to spend, telling you it is a priority to get this and that

i know a guy that is super reasonable and has been working on the 4ag since it was invented so when you get back down here give me a holla and i will bring you to him, he is also pretty quick with those engines

they make service manuals that explain step by step what to take off and what order to do so... if you cant do it w/ a service manual, you should sell this car and get a honda... drive it and forget it.
