It should get a little better as you go along......if not, I'd be pissed, and take it up with the dealer.

 

toyotajoe1980: just wondering why you fill your sr5 with premium... You know your car doesn't need it right?

 

it is old and I was told that the premium gas would help it last longer and keep it clean

im getting ~20+ in my 17 yr old turbo'd car i step on daily

 

running higher octane gas than what is required by the manufacturer on a non-modified motor is useless....the only thing it does is cost you more $$$

If the car requires 89 octane...than that's all you should run, so save your money. It's okay to add the fuel inj cleaner to the tank every so often though.
