hey i was just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to put the 3sgte motor into a corolla and how hard it would be. thanks

 

it is possible! as all things are, but how hard- I dunno?

 

If the corolla has the 4afe in it. I'm guessing it wouldn' t be to hard to put in. I know a kid that put in a 3sgte in his 94 celica st which happens to have the 4afe. I'm guessing you will need to fabricate your new mounts to match the 3s mounts and also a new s-153 tranny because the transmission that you have will not mate.

I'm not very clear on that but I know the tranny that he used was off a 94+ mr2 with lsd. You should research to see if the corolla drive train is the same as the celica st drive train. If both use the same cv joints, I figure that you can use the s-153 tranny or better yet the mr2 tranny with lsd. I herd you can also use a camry tranny but you gotta use hybrid cv joints.

 

you have to you the v6 camry tranny the 4cyl really wouldnt be able to hold

 

will it bolt up to the 3sgte

 

I am very sure it will. People have used the camry tranny. Check out the tech forums @ celica.net go to forced induction. It will bolt up.
