i am looking at buying an ae86. it is a sr5 and i wanted to know if it is carbrated, or fuel injected. and if i wanted to drift in it, am i going to have to do a swap? or if i can stay with this eninge and just work on this one?

SR5's are carbed . 3A-C or 4A-C . There not great but can be worked on . Easiest thing is gonna be a 4AG swap that'll net you 100rwhp instead of 60 . YOu need hte gas tank as well since the carbed cars use a mechanical fuel pump and diff tank .

It will still be "driftable" stock . I wouldnt recomend it but it'll do it .

man my hachi is stock sr5 and it can still drift but it takes some time to build up speed w/ only 65rwhp so if you just want to drift it is a good start. Make sure you use only premium gas and always one bottle of octain boost, they suck with any less, now other than that you should be fine except for the low air flow which I am working on now..................................(replace your exhaust w/ sport)

so if i want a challege then go with the sr5. is this car going to last me atleast 5 years with me drifting and just doing the normal changes with the car? and is this the ezer car to learn to dirft in?

I'd go with a gts. If you want I'll helo you find one. I found a nice one for n2ocamry in less than 2 weeks.

my first corolla was a sr5. They are still fun cars, but a little extra underpowerd than the gts...

I would call it a rainy day drifter, if you get what I'm saying...

they are great cars and will last on gas with the increase lately but as for power jeff is right it is not there but istill love my lil' sr5 (slow really 5low)
