I'm going to organize an mr2 get-together in Southern Pinellas county on Saturday March 13th. It will start at 2:00pm at Ft. DeSoto State Park. I will be at the Best Buy in Tampa on Dale Mabry and I-275 at 1:00pm to caravan over to the park. We will leave at EXACTLY 1:15pm to be at the park at 2:00. We will have the get-together in the North side of the park towards the back. I'll try to post a map and more specific directions when the meet gets closer.

I'll bring hot dogs, and burgers and come char-coal. We'll say bring your own beer and whatever else you want to eat. Of course all are welcome regardless of what you drive, all I ask is that all the mr2's park in the same area for pictures. We'll stay as long as people want to hang out and kill burgers. I'm not going to reserve a pavillion...we'll just get a group of picnic tables under the trees.

It should be a lot of fun. We'll try to stay sober and not race in the park or on the way there. I'd like to spread the word about the get-together by word of mouth and tamparacing. Call anybody you know with an mr2 and see if they will come out. In case of rain, we will move the fun to a parking garage at a mall somehwere (any suggestions)? I have been in Tampa for over a year and I still don't know a lot of mr2 owners so I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of people. Feel free to offer any suggestions for the meet, but the time and location are solid.

Absolutely, anybody is more than welcome. I'd love to see a 1jz since I've never seen one. Like I said, it's an MR2 get-together but all are welcome as long as the mr2's can park in the prime spots and get first dibs on burgers

 

I probably will not be able to make it with my car. But if I have my car I will be out there....and I might possibly get a ride with one of my MR2 friends. I will tell a few of the MR2 people I know to come.
